2010 MasterCard Memorial Cup-Go Jake!

Sports. I don't know what I would do without them. I love 'em! This past weekend I was so excited because I was able to watch the 2010 MasterCard Memorial Cup on the NHL Network. Talk about awwwwwsome! Not only was it hockey, but on Sunday it was the finals between the host team, the Brandon Wheat Kings, and the Windsor Spitfires.

For those of you not familiar with the Memorial Cup, I will make it simple - it's basically the Stanley Cup Playoffs between the soon-to-be NHL stars. The Wheat Kings from the WHL, and the Spitfires from the OHL.

Anyway, back to the game! I was so excited to spend my day in front of TV because I was able to watch one of my favorite players, Jacob DeSerres - he's the goaltender for Brandon...and a friend of mine! I used to watch him play regularly in Kent back when he played for the Seattle Thunderbirds, another WHL team. He was traded earlier this season, and I was quite sad to see him go, but it's okay now since I know he's happy. I mean who wouldn't be happy playing for the Memorial Cup right?

Of course the ending to the game was not what I wanted, Brandon lost 9 to 1, but I am still very happy for Jake and that I had the chance to see him play. Now that he is in the Eastern Conference I don't get to see him. Perhaps I will see him in Philidelphia, afterall he was drafted by the Flayers in 2008. Oh didn't I mention I will be going to Philly in a few weeks? Well I am, and during the Stanley Cup Finals! Go Flyers! I don't own any orange, but I'm sure I will find something to wear while I'm there :)

Just relaxing at home

Don't you just love being at the ballpark on a nice, sunny day? The green grass, the sea air, the view of Elliott Bay? It's a perfect day for a baseball game. I just love this place, and nothing beats it! Although I am missing some of the Stanley Cup Playoffs to be here, but I have it on dvr for later.

So this is day one of my adventure. I hope you will follow me along on my trip as I tour the state of Washington, the country and abroad (I will visit my friends up north, I am part Canadian afterall). Please sit back and enjoy, and let me know what you think of the places I visit.

If you want to know more about me, feel free to ask questions. I am all antlers!
